1. Best of Amador & Plymouth Wine Country Cycle & Sip
More than 150 years ago, the discovery of gold (1848) in California drew pioneers and adventures from around the world to the California Gold Country in the Sierra Nevada foothills to find their fortunes. Not many years later, wine making pioneers started planting vines (Old Vine Zin). Today a premiere wine region is 1 hour drive from Sacramento. . We begin with a relaxing drive to the charming historic town of Sutter Creek to revel in the turn of the century charm and architecture of the "Jewel of The Mother Lode". We saddle up to a wine bar comfortable salon for a handful of wines to taste from two of the most popular wineries in Amador County after a ½ hr walking tour of town. This 15-20 mile rolling hills cycling tour includes the best of many wine and gold country activities. We'll cycle a nice loop through this picturesque valley witnessing the finish wine of this region. This friendly and laid back wine region has been long known for its quality "Old Vine Zinfandel". Taste award-winning wines and from the impressive Montevina, Sobon Estate and many more. We'll be able to view the working sections of a winery after a relaxing picnic lunch on a spacious redwood deck with a stunning valley view. This is one of the most impressive stops we make in the wine country.

The 23-mile Parkway, runs from Hazel Avenue and the Nimbus Fish Hatchery, west to the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers. From historic Gold Rush and Maidu Indian sites to lush riverine forests and oak woodlands, and the winding green river itself, your cycling tour on this flat paved parkway will make your experience here a pleasant one. Please join us in appreciating the natural bounty that surrounds the American River from the seat of your saddle. 3. Napa Valley Wine Country-Silverado Trail Cycling
The Napa Valley region is hands down the "Crown Jewel" of Northern California's wine country due to its stunning natural beauty. This region is blessed by cool fog from San Pablo Bay and warmer weather on the northern side near Mt St Helena. This valley is dotted with amazing turn of the century chateau-like wineries that are built from stones from this rocky terrain. All this is surrounded by the grace and charm of world-renowned vineyards. We'll stop off for a bit of bubbly in the Carneros Region at the most impressive European chateau Domain Carneros. Experience all of this from the leisurely pace from our bikes riding on the eastern side of the valley along the Silverado trail with our second stop at Signorello and then on to Clos Du Val Winery with its fine redwood tasting room. The ride in is amazing with its perfectly manicured courtyard.

After sampling their large selection of Chardonnay, we'll take a quick ride through the tree-lined back-roads to Trefethen Vineyards. The entrance driveway of this large estate is so impressively long; it was used as a private airstrip for Mr. Trefethen back in the early 1900's. The Dry Riesling here is incredible as are many of the older aged (1998-2000) red wines they serve here for tasting. Those who choose to relax in the courtyard while having lunch can do so while the others take an optional 45-minute ride (round trip) and tasting at the Laird Family Estate where you can experience fine Chardonnay in one of the newest and impressive contemporary style destinations in the entire valley. After the group comes together, we'll make our way to Monticello Cellars for our last stop.
